Slide Ranch Commons
We were honored to build the first new building at environmental education center Slide Ranch since the 1970s. Incorporates an indoor/outdoor commercial kitchen and large deck for a stunning teaching & community space. Features a living roof, reclaimed local redwood siding & donated Heath tile. The ranch is located adjacent to the ocean and has numerous building requirements, which we were able to meet.
Slide Ranch Commons
Slide Ranch is an environmental education center located in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and a landmark of the West Marin coast. We were honored to design and construct the first new building at Slide since the 1970’s. The structure incorporates an indoor/outdoor commercial kitchen and large deck for a stunning teaching & community space. Our material choices were informed by their mission of environmental sensitivity and include a living roof, reclaimed local redwood siding & donated recycled Heath tile. This project successfully navigated the challenging demands of building in a coastal environment and on National Park land.
